This week has been very busy in the Bothy
Garden! Volunteers at Scampston Heritage & Learning Centre have been working closely with Camphill Village Trust, sowing lots of flower and vegetable seeds and working hard to rid the beds of weeds.
In the centre of the herb bed a wigwam was made with
poles cut from Scampston woods. This will support new plants as they grow this summer.
A variety of different plants were added to the herb beds. There is now have a good mixture of herbs, which will help Catherine to make some delicious dishes in the Garden Cafe!
At the end of
our gardening day we celebrated the completion of the new Bothy
Garden Sign which has been hand-carved by volunteer Jeff.
